The main focus of this project is on side planning. We have given by a site, then analysis and other documenting method, communicating is the essential tool for this project. Site planning is the important act to do on developing a new site, it is a organizational stage of the design process. It include the land physically surrounding, appearance, contour, ecological system and biodiversity.
Besides that, site analysis is the crucial step in the site analysis and planning process from site selection through design development. It has to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the site selected.
Several solutions have to determine to overcome with the unstable part in the site. Thus, all the decision must be harmonize with the site, so that able to achieve a balance point with the ecology and sustainable.
In 4A, I’m in the report team for reporting scape team progress and helping them to making trees. 4B is proposing suitable group layout for the site. While 4C is the individual unit. For this Project 4C, an individual unit is designed to fit into given lot 16,800 X 9,600 in the studio layout. The function of this individual unit actually as a housing unit or commercial unit in the studio layout proposed. Therefore, elements like spaces, building, urban surrounding need to evaluate in order to harmonize with the ecologically.
The individual unit that I’ve designed is following the theme which is “The Circle”. The circular shape is the main element. Its transparency effect enhances the space to be more spacious and provide an open space to outside public.
The Skin or Envelop here is referring to the cover of a structure. Its cover is function as a barrier to outside excessive influences like extreme weather. The cover of the structure should be able to resist the rain pour, protect occupant from sun light and wind blow. Therefore, the skin is an essential element that keeps the occupant inside the building safe and comfortable.
However, my body accessories booth is situated in an interior space which is in a shopping mall. Thus, the main part I should consider is to create an icon in the shopping mall to attract public attention. Besides that, the security of the
This project is linkage with the previous project which is the One-Function Space. Therefore, the design should base on the previous model. Thus, the circular shape is suitable to be the skin in a interior spaces. The opening purposely is to enhance the space to be look like more spacious.Apart from that, the opening enable the sales girl promote to outside people not only within inside the circular space only.
One-Function space is a small space that able to sustain some activities and not more than two person in that defined spaces. For example, exhibition booth, bus station, ticket selling machine, ATM machine, KIOSK and so on that require small spaces.
The keywords on design One-Function spaces is that the analysis of space requirement and needs or activity analysis. Thereafter, design criteria like Safety, Aesthetic, Function and Economy need to consider either.
The proper dimension has to bear in mind in designing any structures to ensure its safety. Anthropometric Data and standard measurement should meet the proper space requirement. Not only has its aesthetic had to be ensuring, but also the function of the structure. Apart from that, economically structure refer to energy saving and efficient design.
The pet I has chosen are ants. Ants live in a big group under a colony by a Queen Ant. This ants species name is Messor Forel. Its whole body is black in colour. The reason why I chose ant as my pet is because of its advantages that ant could build their own home, by digging soil formed few tunnel in a systematic linkage.
Besides that, is also a part of making fun in observing ants digging the soil forming the tunnel.
It is easy to catch ants. Just sprinkle some sugar at the corner of kitchen, few minute later, I’m sure there are many ants around the corner. However, it is better to catch large ants than small ants. Large ants enable us to observe their activity underneath the soil. Thus, I used a transparent jar with some sugar syrup inside to attract ant’s attention. Then, I put in on the ground where ants appear. Few minute later, inside the jar, there are many “black dotty” gather having sugar syrup party. Without further delay, I quickly cover the jar with a lid. Them i put them inside chiller to cool down them as they look very nervous and panic.
Then, I transferred them one by one into a new home that I’ve provided using a transparency container with soil inside and planted some plants on the soil to create a familiar environment for them.
Transparency container could show the tunnel that the ants dogged clearly. Apart from that, all the ants’ activities could observe clearly either.
